Frankenstein
Prior to reading Frankenstein, I ask my students to read this article on current Bioethical Issuesand then run down the list and decide whether they think each item is acceptable or unacceptable, or if they aren't sure or would need to know more about it. It creates the best discussion of the year and really gets them thinking about the actions that Victor Frankenstein takes when he creates his "monster."
